Ready to get your spook on this Halloween? Well, put on your most ghoulish (or skin-tight) duds and put up The D & Davis Show on your screen for some scary-good sports talk.
Expect plenty of football this week with the Chicago Bears back in action, college football preparing for its first Playoff rankings and stakes rising higher and higher in the world of fantasy.
On this Sunday’s Bears-Minnesota Vikings clash: our guy Joe Tanksley comes on once again at 11:40 am to talk up his latest piece for the Redeye and his thoughts on the post-bye week Bears, plus giving us the Minnesota angle at 1:20 pm will be broadcaster Dawn Mitchell of Fox 9 Minneapolis. Mitchell will also delve into the harrowing news of late in her area regarding the passing of Flip Saunders and the unexpected retirement of University of Minnesota football coach Jerry Kill.
Also on the slate: at 12:20, a special discussion with Dr. Robert Kerr, a neck specialist whose Kerr Collar aims to drastically reduce the number of head and neck injuries at all levels of football, an issue that’s become more and more pressing with the news of several high school players dying this season after injuries on the field.
Back on a lighter note at 12:40, D & D once again returns to the land of flex positions and roster budgets as they talk up the latest in season-long and week-long fantasy football strategy with special contributor Steve Suffredin.
Plus, the D & Davis crew makes their Week 8 NFL picks, offer their take on the first three games of the World Series, speak on the legacy of the now-deceased Grantland website and a lot more!
