A big leg drop to the heart for all us former Hulksters with melanin.
Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan was fired by WWE Friday after offensive comments Hogan made eight years ago that were caught on video were reported by the National Enquirer. Following WWE’s decision to terminate Hogan’s contract, Hogan apologized in a statement.
“It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologize for having done it. This is not who I am. I believe very strongly that every person in the world is important and should not be treated differently based on race, gender, orientation, religious beliefs or otherwise.”
A number of current and former wrestlers responded to the news on Twitter, and Hogan personally responded to many fans that offered him support.
