Technology: The Hottest New App for All Fanatics

Watch and read Macworld’s Susie Ochs breakdown the new fan-friendly mobile app Fanatic, available now in the Apple App Store and in Google Play.

Fanatic is an app invented and developed by Chicago-area native and Northwestern University alum Babak Poushanchi, who has lived in New York since graduating from NU in 1998.

Instead of wallowing in the sourness of living in a market where Rutgers got more play on TV from week to week, Poushanchi worked hard at networking with fellow Wildcats in the area and developed a NU-friendly sports bar in Blondies in Manhattan. Years later, Poushanchi has developed a way for diasporic fans in different areas to connect with each other in order to watch their hometown teams together in friendly environments no matter where they are located.

Look at the video and at for more on the app and stay with for a feature on Poushanchi and Fanatic next week.
