Can it be that it was all so simple then?
Yeah, it was only Friday when the entire downtown area of Chicago was packed and enraptured by the conquering hero Blackhawks, but A LOT has changed even in the past three days given the many moves made on NHL draft day yesterday.
Losing Game 6 hero Dave Bolland and penalty shot scorer extraordinare Michael Frolik is much less of a shot than the bloodletting the Hawks had to do in the wake of the 2010 Cup championship, but you figure its still a hit for many Hawks fans, who if you ask man to woman to drunkard would tell you that they’d love to have all the guys from this year back.
Ideally, that would be the case but it just doesn’t work in the current NHL economy and given that the Hawks essentially made these moves to give themselves the space to resign playoff standout Bryan Bickell you have to figure Sunday’s moves as prudent and pretty smart by general manager Stan Bowman.
But for those who still choose to clutch their Bolland and Frolik replica sweaters take a look at this great footage from Friday, taken by Regal Radio’s Demonze Spruiel-Rose of the D and Davis Show, with the whole gang riding into Grant Park.
