Brian Urlacher announces his retirement
Expect much more on this to come here on weareregalradio.com.
Instantly, though, from a selfish fan perspective it is good to see that Urlacher will be ending his career as a Bear but as a fan of Urlacher as well as the Bears it is a bit unfortunate to see him go out with no one really wanting him.
That’s more often the case with elite athletes, football players in particular, than we’d care to admit. Pass the respectful tweet and release ,which you can see below, how much resentment, if any, does Urlacher hold for the Bears going forward? With their role as it were in helping him have to leave the game unceremoniously.
A lot of interesting things to go over with this development, not least being Urlacher’s true place in Bears legend, Chicago sports legend and NFL history. I think history will be kind to Urlacher and whatever little beefs developed this offseason will pass sooner or later. Whether he likes it or not at this point, Urlacher is indeed a Bear for Life, as it should be.
